Story[edit]
After the events of the first season. My Melody returns to her home in Mari Land. This return is short lived, as Kuromi and Baku escape from their cell in the Mari Land castle dungeon a second time, stealing another Melody Key along with other magical items to go with it, returning to the human world. My Melody is reequipped with the Melody Takt, along with the Melody Box, Melody Compact and Melody Candies to stop Kuromi and Baku once more. While Keiichi Hiiragi is sentenced to the tapir punishment for unleashing the Dark Power, this is called off in favour of the bunny-ears punishment, forcing him to take on the role of Usamimi Kamen to aid My Melody.
On returning to Keiichi Hiiragi's home, Kuromi and Baku instead meet Keiichi's younger brother: Jun Hiiragi, who has moved to Japan from the UK. Jun Hiiragi takes the guitar pick connected to the new Melody Key, becoming the one who recharges it. When My Melody returns to the human world, she is reunited with Uta Yumeno and Flat with Kakeru Kogure.
Rather than racing to collect 100 pink or black notes to activate the Dream Power or the Dark Power respectively, My Melody and Kuromi instead race to complete a set of 8 ascending notes of each colour: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti and Do. Once a set of 8 notes is collected, the winner gets a wish of their choosing granted and the other loses their progress.
